[CA11] Transducer Cable Damage
When pressure washing the boat I damaged the transducer cable and shield wires to the AIRMAR 275 LHW transducer. Will this cause poor reception? Photo of cable attached

RE: [CA11] Transducer Cable Damage
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Larry,

From the photo, while it appears that the shield has been exposed, it does not appear that any of the cable's leads were damage. Should this be below the waterline, then much care should be taken to utilize a sealant that will be watertight. In this case, it would be recommended that Gemeco, Inc. (Airmar’s US distributor (803 693 0777)) be contacted for advice concerning how to seal the damaged cable sheathing.
