[CA11] RV-100, Separate 2d, and 3D
Hello.

I read a while ago that the 3D imaging uses the 2d information as well as sidescan information.
So my question is if I run a y-cable with an RV xdcr and a separate 2d xdcr and use, for example, 50khz, would this alter the 3D imaging?

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Schins,

Q. f I run a y-cable with an RV xdcr and a separate 2d xdcr and use, for example, 50khz, would this alter the 3D imaging?
A. Negative. 3D RealVision imaging is exclusively produced from the RV transducer's pings and received echos. Should a Y-Cable be added to an Axiom RV MFD and be interfaced to a compatible 50kHz/200kHz fishfinder transducer, then the MFD's fishinder application would additionally support a 50kHz sonar channel and a 200kHz sonar channel.
