[CA11] Element 7 Wi-Fi ?
Just installed a new Element 7 in my river boat for salmon season. I wanted to connect the head unit to a tablet so my passengers can see the depth/ fish finder live while were trolling for salmon.

I can see the connection for the unit under the Wi-Fi networks on the tablet and when I try to connect it asked for a password. My assumption this password needs to be generated on the head unit but for the life of me I cant find it using the menu? Does the Element line of finders even allow this?

Does anyone know the proper steps to connect the finder to a tablet ?

Thanks,
Left Coast Steve

RE: [CA11] Element 7 Wi-Fi ?
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Steve,

The WiFi features of Element displays are limited to communicating with a Quantum Radome and updating the display's software via a WiFi connection to the Internet. If seeking WiFi features such as are permitted by RayView and/or RayControl, then an Axiom MFD rather than an Element display should be installed.
