[CA11] Axiom 7 external data sources
Hi there

Is it possible to use a backbone with seatalkng to connect both a RMK-10 and RS150 GPS sensor to my Axiom 7?

Cheers TC

RE: [CA11] Axiom 7 external data sources
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Todd,

While the MFD and Raystar 150 GPS Sensor must each be interfaced to a spur socket with a powered and properly terminated SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone, the RMK-10 is not designed to be interfaced to the MFD in this same manner. The MFD and RMK-10 are designed to communicate with one another via an Ethernet communications network. As such the MFD and RMK-10 will need to be interfaced to one another or to an HS5 RayNet Network Switch via an appropriate length of RayNet (F) to RayNet (F) Cable.

Hi Chuck

Thank you for the info re the RMK-10 connection and the HS5 switch.

I am wondering if my RS150 will connect to the HS5?

Cheers Todd

Todd,

Q. I am wondering if my RS150 will connect to the HS5?
A. Negative. Please refer to my initial response, in which I addressed how the RS150 would need to be interfaced to the system.
