[CA11] Raymarine autopilot P70S in "locked" heading
I purchased a 1996 Hunter 376. It has the original rotary drive type 1 and a newer Raymarine P 70S.
When I turned on the controller, the heading was 59deg.
I reset it to factory settings, and now it shows 64 deg (while the true compass setting is 120 deg).
I engaged the controller while motoring and it engages the steering wheel, but it senses no change in direction, and it makes no adjustments.
When I add or subtract 10 deg, the rotary drive complies and it changes course.
Everything seems to be working except the compass sensor in the controller.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks,
Gabriel

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Gabriel,

What model of autopilot course computer is installed onboard the vessel?
