Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Elaia326,

Please click here to view a FAQ addressing how to test a drive unit. The heavy gauge leads are the drive's motor leads. The light gauge leads are the drive's clutch leads. They positive clutch lead is red and the negative clutch lead is blue.

Chuck
Unit is off boat
Test clutch ... add 12v to clutch leads (thin) listen for clutch action
Test ram .. add momentary 12v to fat leads .. in each direction for opposite movement ? Correct ?
