[TG11] Settings on Axiom Pro
Hi there. Just getting familiar with the various settings on our new Axiom Pro units. 2 questions...

Home screen>settings>units. What is ‘Time Differential’?

Chart App > settings > advanced > cartographic objects > what is the setting ‘Rocks’ do? It seems to accept a depth. Not sure what it means.

Thanks much!

RE: [TG11] Settings on Axiom Pro
Hello Gordonbone,

TDs are the old (very old) LORAN navigational co-ordinate system. If you don't know what it is, you don't need it! We try hard to make our default setup sensible and appropriate for most users, so it's best not to change settings unless you need to.

The Rocks setting controls the depth to which charted rocks are displayed. Only rocks shallower than the configured depth will be displayed, in order to avoid unnecessarily cluttering the chart with irrelevant detail in very rocky areas. For example, if your maximum draft were 1m, you might set the Rocks depth to 5m for navigation, but to 20m or more for fishing since rocks are of interest in those depths. The rocks themselves come from the chart card, so exactly what you see depends on the content of the card you're using.

Regards,
Tom
