New ST290 data display not recognizing data
New-to-us sailboat last year came with ST290 including a spare data display new in box. One of the displays faded and died, so we unmounted it and plugged in the spare. It powers up and it daisy-chains data through to the next instrument in line...but it does not read or display any data itself. Spent lots of time in the setup menus, changed its position in the daisy chain, etc. to no avail. Is there an address recognition process or a basic set of keystrokes that we are missing in order for it to read the SeaTalk data? Thanks.

RE: New ST290 data display not recognizing data
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum davesimon,

Please note that ST290 displays are no longer supported, so our ability to address problem/questions may be limited. What model of ST290 display was replaced?

RE: New ST290 data display not recognizing data
davesimon,

The part number supplied is that for a ST290 Graphic Display. These displays are designed to be plug and play devices with a powered and properly terminated SeaTalk2 backbone to which the ST290 DPU has been interfaced as a spur. Should the displays be powering on, but display dashes for data associated with sensors which have been interfaced to the system, then it would appear that there is a problem with the ST290 DPU.
