ST60 Wind Problem
I have a ST60 wind instrument. We were in the States for the summer and on returning to Jamaica four month later the wind direction works fine but the speed stays at zero even in about 30knots.
After looking through the older posts I checked that VMG was not set. I then checked the voltage at the instrument: yellow to shield was 8V , constant.
I assume the transducer has failed at the masthead is there a replacement I can purchase?
OR
What is my next step?
Thanks
Ron

RE: ST60 Wind Problem
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Ron,

Please click here to view a FAQ addressing how to test a wind transducer. Should the voltage measured between the yellow and shield be as high and as steady you have indicated then it would appear that the wind transducer has suffered a failure. The currently installed transducer may be replaced with the E22078 Short Arm Wind transducer w/30m of cable or the E22079 Long Arm Wind Transducer w/50m of cable.
