ST60 Tridata interfaced C80 multifunctiondisplay
Hello, I have A80171 version of the P319 fishfinder transducer interfaced to the DSM300 -C80 multifunction display and Tridata ST60. The depth is the same in C80 and tridata ST60. The temperature in C80 is 29 Celsius and in Tridadata ST 60 is 23 Celsius. Why this difference in temperature? The connection between multifunction display C80 and the ST60 tridata is seatalk.
Thanks,
Sergio

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Sergio,

Please examine the back side of the ST60 Tridata Instrument ... are there any transducer leads interfaced to any of its depth, speed, or temperature terminals?

No, only SeaTalk cable at both terminals.

RE: ST60 Tridata interfaced C80 multifunctiondisplay
Sergio,

While there may be some latency in the data reported between the MFD and an instrument repeating data, I don't recall having ever run across the reported symptom. Should the vessel be tied dockside and the symptom not be able to be reproduced, then the symptom would appear to be associated with such latency. However, should the problem persist when tied dockside, then it would be recommended that
- you verify that no temperature offset has been configured within the ST60 Tridata Instrument ... see the [url=https://raymarine.app.box.com/s/w7dp1h5hwi1f3fmda4x1/1/402191901/3273522439/1
]ST60 Tridata display's Owner's manual[/url] for the command sequence
- you verify that the Tridata has been configured as a Speed/Temp Repeater ... setting performed the Intermediate Cal options ... see the ST60 Tridata display's Owner's manual for the command sequence
- the MFD has been updated with the latest available Raymarine product software update

Should the problem persist thereafter, then the symptom may be the result of another NMEA 0183, NMEA 2000, or SeaTalk source of water temperature data within the system ... for further troubleshooting, a complete list of all of the marine electronics within the system and an indication of how these items have been interfaced within the system (ex. system diagram ... hand drawn will suffice) would be required.
