Creating fishfinder features within a system of Axiom MFDs

Raymarine's Axiom MFDs operating with the latest software updates are designed to support multiple fishfinder sounding devices within the system. Axiom MFDs available in any of the following three variants:
- with internal RealVision 3Dâ„¢ fishifnder sonar circuitry
- with internal DownVision fishifnder sonar circuitry
- without internal fishfinder sonar circuitry

Axiom MFDs are also compatible with the following fishfinding products
- ax7/cx7/e7D/ex7/eSx7 MFDs (following the release of LightHouse 3 software for a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs)
- ax8/eSx8 MFDs (following the release of LightHouse 3 software for a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs)
- CP470 & CP570 High Power CHIRP Sonar Modules
- CP200 SideVision Sonar Module
- CP100 DownVision Sonar Module
- CP370/CP300 50kHz/200kHz ClearPulse Sonar Modules

Note: Axiom MFDs are not compatible with the DSM300, DSM30, and DSM250 50kHz/200kHz Digital Sonar Modules. Accordingly, it would be recommended that the transducers which have been interfaced to these DSMs be disconnected from the DSM and that they be adapted for use with the Axiom DV or Axiom RV MFD. Alternatively, the DSM may be replaced with a CP370 ClearPulse Sonar Module Transducers which have been designed for use with a DSM30, DSM300, and DSM250 are also compatible with the CP370.

Accordingly, it is possible for a single Axiom MFD to support one or all of the following types of fishfinder technology:
- RealVision 3Dâ„¢ sonar imaging
- 600W ClearPulse 50/200kHz Fishfinder Sounding
- High Power CHIRP Sounding
- 600' CHIRP (conical) / DownVision Fishfinder Sounding
- SideVision Fishfinder Sounding
- 600W/1kW ClearPulse 50/200kHz Fishfinder Sounding

When creating a system having a single Axiom MFD, fishfinder features be supported within the system as follows:

- RealVision 3Dâ„¢ Fishfinder Sounder features: Installing an Axiom RV MFD and a RV Transducer(s). Systems including these two items will additionally support the following additional fishfinder sonar features without need for additional sonar components::
----- 600' CHIRP (conical) sonar imaging
----- DownVision sonar imaging
----- SideVision sonar imaging

----- 600W 50kHz/200kHZ ClearPulse fishfinder sonar imaging may be added to the Axiom RV MFD's supported fishfinder features by installation of an appropriate Axiom Transducer Y-Cable to interface both a RV Transducer and an A-Series Transducer or CP370 compatible transducer to the Axiom MFD.

----- 600W 50kHz/200kHZ ClearPulse fishfinder sonar imaging alone may be supported by by the Axiom RV MFD following installation of an appropriate Axiom Transducer Adapter Cable to interface an A-Series Transducer or CP370 compatible Transducer to the Axiom MFD.

- High Power CHIRP Fishfinder Features: Install any model of Axiom MFD and a CP470 or CP570 w/[http://www.raymarine.com/view/?id=12414]compatible transducer(s)

NOTE: If not intending the utilize the internal and not intending to utilize the internal RealVision 3Dâ„¢ fishifnder sonar circuitry or internal DownVision fishifnder sonar circuitry of the Axiom RV and Axiom DV MFDs, then it would typically be recommended that an Axiom MFD lacking internal fishfinder sonar circuitry be purchased to reduce the cost of the system.

- 1kW 50/200kHz ClearPulse Sounder Fishfinder Features: Install any model of Axiom MFD and a CP370 w/[http://www.raymarine.com/view/?id=12410]compatible transducer

NOTE: Like Raymarine's a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs, Axiom MFDs are designed to share resources. Accordingly, should one be constructing a system having more than one Axiom MFD and RealVision 3Dâ„¢ fishifnder features then only one of the Axiom MFDs need have internal fishfinder sonar circuitry.

NOTE: It is not possible to utilize an instrument depth transducer (analog, SeaTalkng, or NMEA 0183/NMEA 2000 Smart Transducer) to support an Axiom MFD's fishfinder features.
