Transducer compatibility question
Customer ordered a package from an online retailer which included an eS127 mfd along with what should have been a E66088 12 degree tilted element bronze thru hull transducer to plug directly in to the clear pulse sounder socket of the mfd. Unfortunately someone along the way must have mis-read the number and included a E66086 instead. The error just now realized and the boat is already hauled out. The question now of course is will the E66086 function properly utilizing an E66066 adapter cable? The boat is hauled out and lay days cost money. If the adapter cable will work properly to allow full functionality of the cp sounder internal module then the (incorrect) included transducer can be fitted and the cable adapter added after the boat is launched without having to try to exchange the transducer and haul the boat again for installation. Timely response is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

RE: Transducer compatibility question
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Yachtspecco,
Q1. Will the E66086 function properly utilizing an E66066 adapter cable? A1. As the E66066 transducer adapter cable is designed to adapt CP370 and DSM30/300/250 compatible transducers for use with ax7/cx7/e7D/eSx7 MFDs, this adapter cable will indeed support use of and proper performance of the installed E66086 B60 transducer with the eS127 MFD after having selected the B60 from the MFD's Fishfinder application settings Transducer list. |
