A95, I50 depth, I50 speed system questions
About a year ago I bought an 895 multi function and used it as a standalone GPS on my sailboat. Now I am adding and I 50 depth and and I 50 speed indicator. The place where the old depth transducer was has 24° of deadrise. My questions are:
1) which transducers are best suited for my application?
2) Will these components all work together properly?
3) what's the best hook up schematic for the system?
4) do I need any other components?
Thank you in advance, Jeff

RE: A95, I50 depth, I50 speed system questions
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Jeff,

Q1) which transducers are best suited for my application?
A1) The only instrument transducer offered by Raymarine supporting 24 degrees of deadrise is the A26043 B744V. This transducer may be used to support both the i50 Depth and i50 Speed Instruments.

Q2) Will these components all work together properly?
A2) Yes

Q3) what's the best hook up schematic for the system?
A3) Each of the devices which you have listed are designed to be interfaced as an individual spur to a powered and properly terminated SeaTalkng backbone.

Q4) do I need any other components?
A4) Other than the SeaTalkng networking components and the transducer, no other Raymarine products should be required.

Is the power for these three units coming from the powered backbone alone? Or does it require another power source for the MFD also?

RE: A95, I50 depth, I50 speed system questions
Jeff,

Q. Is the power for these three units coming from the powered backbone alone? Or does it require another power source for the MFD also?
A. MFDs must be powered via their power cables and the MFDs are not designed to supply power to a SeaTalkng/NMEA 2000 backbone. The i50 Instruments are designed to be powered by the backbone
