What can I purchase for B60 Transducer?
Good afternoon,

I just picked up a vessel that has a Raymarine B60 E66085 Transducer installed.

Are the current generation of fish finders compatible with this model?

Thanks

RE: What can I purchase for B60 Transducer?
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum crashband,

The E66085 B60 20 degree Tilted Element Transducer is may be adapted to be mated to the Transducer socket of any of the following currently manufactured MFDs:
- Axiom DV MFD
- Axiom RV MFD
- a97 MFD, a127 MFD
- c97 MFD, c127 MFD
- eS97 MFD, eS127 MFD

Alternatively, the E66085 B60 20 degree Tilted Element Transducer may be interfaced to a CP370 1kW 50 kHz / 200kHz Sounder Module, which in turn may be interfaced to any currently manufactured a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD or any Axiom MFD.

Hi Chuck,

Thanks for the informative post. If I choose to go with any of the current manufactured units, will I still need a CP370 sounder module?

Thanks

crashband,

Q1. If I choose to go with any of the current manufactured units, will I still need a CP370 sounder module?
A1. Negative. Adapter cables are available to mate the subject transducer directly to the Transducer socket of the previously specified products. However, should one already have a CP370, then the CP370 may instead be interfaced to any of the previously specified MFDs, as well as any model of Axiom MFD or a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD.

Thanks Chuck.

I think I'm going to go with an Axiom 7 unit. I see that there are 3 configurations for the model (GPS, DownVision, RealVision). Which one should I go with to take full advantage of the existing transducer?

Thank you

RE: What can I purchase for B60 Transducer?
Hi Crashband,

At the time of this post, you can choose either the AXIOM 7 DV or RV to power your B60 transducer. Both displays will provide the same level of performance through your transducer. The adapter cable needed for the DV is the A80485, and the adapter cable needed for the RV is A80489.

That being said, the RV will supply more options for the future. For example, you could purchase a RealVision transducer for the display, and a CP370 for your existing B60 transducer. Or, you could choose to use a DownVision transducer in the future, using the A80490 adapter cable, and a CP370 for your existing B60 transducer. Whereas if you chose to go with the DV, you would only be able to use a DownVision transducer or your current B60, or both utilizing a CP370.

RE: What can I purchase for B60 Transducer?
Not really finding an answer in the FAQ, but feeling like this is the right thread, here goes.

I'm replacing my E80 Classic with Axiom 9 DV, but want to know specifically what adapter cables I need. I already know I need to wire in the power pigtail. But I have a DSM300 interfaced to dual transducers on the transom (see the photo). How do I marry the Axiom to the existing transducer setup? Does the DSM300 go away? Do I get one (or more) adapter cables? Will I likely need a transducer cable extension? My DSM300 is about 2 M away from the dash-mount MFD.

RE: What can I purchase for B60 Transducer?
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Warren,

Axiom MFDs are not compatible with the DSM30, DSM300, and CP300. Generally, the transducer from the DSM30, DSM300, and CP300 and would then be connected to the corresponding Axiom Adapter Cable or Axiom Y-Cable which would then be connected to the Axiom DV MFD or Axiom RV MFD. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject. In this case, the transducer cable would simply be unplugged from the DSM300 and then connected to an A80492 Axiom RV to 25-pin RV & 7-pin CP370/CP300/DSM30/DSM300 Compatible Transducers Y-Cable or to an A80489 Axiom RV to 7-pin CP370/CP300/DSM30/DSM300 compatible transducers Transducer Adapter Cable.
