Ramarine Mobile App unable to communicate with Axiom MFD

When initially released, neither the Raymarine Mobile Apps , nor the initial LightHouse 3 software for Axiom MFDs supported communications with one another. This is no longer the case for the latest versions of the Raymarine Mobile apps and for the latest version of LightHouse 3 software for Axiom MFDs. Should

- the Axiom MFD have been updated with the latest version of LightHouse 3 software for Axiom MFDs, and
- the Axiom MFD's Wi-Fi Sharing feature (HOME->SETTINGS->THIS DISPLAY->WI-FI SHARING - ALLOW DEVICES TO CONNECT VIA WI-FI) be configured ON, and
- the Axiom MFD's Mobil Apps Access feature (HOME->SETTINGS->THIS DISPLAY->MOBILE APP ACCESS) be configured to REMOTE CONTROL or VIEWING ONLY, and
- the mobile device be compatible with Raymarine's mobile devices (click here to view the list of supported mobile devices), and
- the mobile device be updated with the latest version of the RayControl, RayView, or RayRemote mobile app, and
- the mobile device is within Wi-Fi range of the Axiom MFD (... this range will vary due to differences in materials used to construct the vessel and other devices which may reduce Wi-Fi communications distances), and
- the Wi-Fi connection setting of the mobile device have been configured to connect to the Axiom MFD's SSID (see HOME->SETTINGS->THIS DISPLAY->WI-FI SHARING - WI-FI CONNECTION SETTINGS->WI-FI NAME),

then is should be possible to command the mobile device to run the Raymarine mobile app and for the app to establish communications with the Axiom MFD. Should you have satisfied the above listed items and should your compatible mobile device not be able to establish a Wi-Fi connection with the Raymarine MFD, then it would be recommended that the Axiom MFD be sent to Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to be bench checked / serviced.
