[CA] axiom transducer
I have an E 80 with a transducer with a label of Smart @P17 PN 44-058-1-01 Rev. 03 Customer part no. 1690359.
Is this transducer compatible with the Axiom RV 12. If not, what thru hull transducer do I need?

RE: [CA] axiom transducer
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum vasearay,

The subject transducer is not of Raymarine origin and appears to have an Airmar part number. Should this transducer have had a NMEA 2000 communications interface, then it may be interfaced to the Axiom RV to supply the Axiom RV with numerical depth data as it may have supported if it had been interfaced to the E80 MFD. Should this transducer have had a NMEA 0183 communications interface, then it may be adapted to be interfaced to the Axiom RV to supply the Axiom RV with numerical depth data as it may have supported if it had been interfaced to the E80 MFD. The required adapter would bridge NMEA 0183 data to NMEA 2000 data (ex. Actisense NGW-1-ISO-STNG). Under no conditions would the transducer which you have identified support any of the MFD's fishfinder features. If seeking RealVision 3D sonar features, then a RealVision Transducer(s) would need to be interfaced to the Axiom RV MFD. Depending upon the deadrise of the hull in the location where the transducer(s) will be installed, a 0 degree, 12 degree, and 20 degree versions.
