C97 MFD Plotting

I have a question in regards to creating some sort of grid or area on the screen that can be marked by entering in several coordinates. Basically, if you could enter 4 gps points that are in a rectangular area - can the MFD be used to create a line between these points or highlight the area that is within the 4 coordinates. Some of the areas we fish are close to marine protected areas - was hoping I could mark the screen some how that shows when I start drifting close to the boundaries.
Any help would be appreciated.
