[CA11] C125 and Em-Trak AIS
Hi,

Can the Em-Trak AIS be controlled by a c125?

Controlled as in toggling silent mode, monitoring AIS parameters, etc.

Thanks!

RE: [CA11] C125 and Em-Trak AIS
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Pau,

While Raymarine MFDs are designed to plot and display AIS target data from AIS transceivers supporting either NMEA 0183 or NMEA 2000 communications, they are not designed to issue commands to third party AIS transceivers. As the silent mode state of a Class B AIS transceiver is controlled by via proprietary messaging, Raymarine MFDs are not designed to control the silent mode state of third party AIS transceivers. Most Class B AIS transceivers feature a set of leads, which a closed circuit is formed between them, then the AIS transceiver will operate in silent mode.
