[DG] Wind vane and speed issue
I have i70s instrument, using the itc-5 converter for my i60 wind transducer.

My power reading without the red plugged in at the ITC-5 is 8.0 v , when I plug the red wire in to power the transducer it drops to 4.85 v. This has to be an issue. I tested the depth, temp, and speed with a constant 8.0v plugged in or not.

The wire readings are as follows.
Blue 1.80
Green 2.04
Yellow .04 to 3.8

The wind transducer wire is uncut from the mast. Is the lower power reading at the red from an issue with the wind transducer.

RE: [DG] Wind vane and speed issue
Hi SVBelle,
Thank you for your enquiry.

please follow through this test to check the masthead transducer, since the fault is either with the mast cable or the masthead transducer.

regards
Derek

RE: [DG] Wind vane and speed issue
Thanks Derek,

There is not a junction box at the base of the mast. Seems to be a non cut wire from mast top transducer.

Low voltage reading would ususally mean some type of loss of connection. I am opting on buying new wind transducer and replace the unit with new wire.
