[CA11] AIS no GNSS Position Fix
My AIS 650 stop transmitting data to other boats
With the AIS pro 2 software, i check in Diagnostics and the GNSS Position Fix have a red X
Those messages appear: TX attempt failed (msg18 no pos'n)
TX attempt failed (msg18 no pos'n)

When i check GNSS status there is only 3 GPS satellite not used for navigation
the GNSS mode is GPS only and there is no fix for all the information.

I suspected the GPS antenna so i hooked a new one on the AIS and i have the same message

RE: [CA11] AIS no GNSS Position Fix
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Martin,

In order for the AIS650 to acquire a GPS position FIX, not only must it be interfaced to an operational passive GPS antenna, but the AIS650's internal GPS receiver circuitry must also be operational. Should you have located the AIS650's passive GPS antenna affording it an unobstructed view of the skies overhead and should the ProAIS2 software report that the unit was unable to acquire a GNSS FIX, then it would appear that the AIS650's internal GPS receiver has suffered a failure, necessitating that the AIS650 be sent to one of Raymarine’s Product Repair Centers to be bench checked / serviced.
