[CA11] Screen Temperature of e127
My e127 has started having extremely high screen temperature and occasional lock-ups. Screen temp shows 60.2 C on the data page for it. Isn't his a little high?
Thanks

RE: [CA11] Screen Temperature of e127
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum cdb,

Normal operating temperature of the LCD is approximately 46 deg C when operating in a location affording proper ventilation and protection from solar radiation. If the air/mounting surface/enclosure/cabin space temperature is within the operating temperature range specified (-25 ºC to +55 ºC (-13 ºF to 130 ºF) and the reported symptoms are observed, then it would be recommended that the MFD be sent to Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to be bench checked / serviced.

RE: [CA11] Screen Temperature of e127
Chuck, Got e127 back from you all with a new screen installed and reinstalled it in the boat. Does not recognize the evolution autopilot and autopilot does not recognize the e127. Does the e127 have to have a GPS signal in order to recognize? It does not as yet as I did the reinstall in the boathouse. If not, any suggestions on what might be going on?
Thanks!
Bruce

RE: [CA11] Screen Temperature of e127
cbd,

No GPS position FIX would be required to for the MFD to determine whether it has been interfaced to an autopilot. Begin by verifying that any SeaTalkng Spur Cable and RayNet Cable(s) which were previously interfaced to the MFD have been reconnected and secured using the sockets' locking ring. The Select Devices diagnostic feature may be used on the system's Data Master MFD to list all devices which the MFD is able to communicate with. Please display the Select Devices list and respond with each device listed and its respective version of software.
