[CA11] Axiom - Still need to acknowledge waypoints?
One of the annoyances with my older E140w is having to manually acknowledge arrival at every waypoint while tracking a route. My routes often have 50 to 100 waypoints, often a minute or less apart and changing course only a few degrees. It's just the nature of the area I cruise. These acknowledgements are distracting to say the least.

Can the Axiom be configured to follow a route automatically making each turn without a manual acknowledgement, similar to an aviation GPS?

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum smzakreski,

In short, the answer to your question is no, at least with respect to autopilot Track mode operation. Unlike aviation's Big Sky theory, there parallel for nautical collision avoidance. However, for those not using an autopilot, the latest versions of LightHouse II software for a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs and LightHouse 3 software for Axiom/Axiom Pro/Axiom XL MFDs, and eS/gS-Series MFDs, the Waypoint Arrival Alarm is switchable, permitting it to be turned or on to suit one's needs.
