[CA] Axiom 7 GPS output to VHF
Hello,

I am replacing a legacy A65 MFD with a new Axiom 7. The old A65 utilized the NMEA 5-pin connector with two wires to to ICOM MC302 VHF. I do not know which pins were utilized.

How would I connect the Axiom 7 to provide the VHF with the same data

Thank you
Doug

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Doug,

Unlike the your old A65 and the more feature laden Axiom Pro and Axiom XL MFDs, Axiom MFDs do not feature a NMEA 0183 communications interface. However like the a-Series MFDs which preceded the Axiom MFDs, the Axiom MFDs may be accessorized to supply 4800 BAUD NMEA 0183 GPS data for use by DSC VHF radios and SSBs. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject.

Thank you for the timely information. I’ll review it along with my separate FF questions and build up a network plan/BOM I possibly will ask for you to review. Thx again!
Doug
