As the e-Series MFDs feature both a NMEA 2000 and a NMEA 0183 communications interface, any external GPS sensor supporting one of these two communications protocols may be used with the MFD when the MFD's internal GPS receiver nears it rollover date. As of today, Raymarine's Raystar 150 GPS Sensor may be used as an alternate GPS data source.
