[DG11] C120 Position fix
During a 4 hour trip today after about an hour I started getting position fix lost - the frequency of this error increased after this and often lasted 10-15 minutes. The GPS receiver appears OK as the VHF radio displays the lat/long and says GPS OK, What can be causing this - I can't believe the GPS signal was actually lost for such a long time.

RE: [DG11] C120 Position fix
Hi philipdawsonladds

Thank you for your enquiry.

If the GPS antenna is used for position information throughout the system, and other equipment is correctly displaying this information, then the issue will be confined to the MFD.

The C120 used an external antenna, so as long as other equipment is showing correct GPS position, try to access the GPS SETUP page in the C120 and check the satellites in use or visible, if there is no data here, then check the connections to the C120. Maybe a loose wire or poor connection, otherwise we suspect an issue with the C120 itself.

Before removing the C120, check the software version, often reloading operating software can correct random problems, this FAQ here will give some further background information.

Regards
Derek
