[LW11] N2K xdcer and an i50 ?
Hi, thanks for your previous answer.

I need to confirm before my client's boat is launched if a NMEA2000 transducer will be compatible with an I50 display.

If the network is powered up and both the display and the transducer are on it, will the display be able to see the transducer?

We'e Trying to avoid using a bare wire transducer directly into the I50, but rather pull depth from the N2K transducer as a standalone unit, so long as the network is powered up.

thanks

Dear NWMI,

Thank you for your query.

I need a little more information before we can answer your questions.

What is the model and make of the NMEA2000 transducer?
What type of transducer is it?

Data can be shared across the backbone between the instrument heads and transducers, when the backbone is powered as you stated.

Are you fitting the transducer and the i50 on spurs to a current backbone or will you be creating a backbone?

I look forward to your response.

Louise
