[CA11] SX30 and P70
I have made tempory repairs to my Whitlock autopilot rotary drive model du145 and reconfiguring using the dockside wizard on the P70 control head with x30 with rudder reference. When calibrating it finds 26deg on rudder travel which is fine but next step when it actually moves the rudder with the drive it goes a obout a 1/4 turn stops. Next step 1/4 turn to center stops. Next step gives error "values too close".
I have done a factory reset on P70 but same error.
Any ideas?

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum QJoy,

This problem is typically associated with a rudder reference transducer which is failing. Should there be dead spots within the transducer's rheostat, then the reported symptom may occur. It is accordingly recommended that autopilot be tested with a new M81105 rudder reference transducer.
