[CA11] Heading vector needs to be updated
Lately every time I turn on my E120W, the heading vector is not correct to the boats course. I correct by "aligning heading" via GPS on my E12196. The course then is correct until I turn off the instruments. Am I correct that the instruments should be receiving power for the memory even when the circuit breakers are turned off thru the Seatalk system?

RE: [CA11] Heading vector needs to be updated
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Andrew,

Please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject. As indicated therein, this symptom is indicative of a problem with the system's heading data source, which is most commonly the system's autopilot. Should you identify the make/model of marine electronics product which is supplying heading data to the system, then we may be able to advise you further concerning how this issue may be correct.
