[CA11] Replacing the S100 remote with a wired controller.
Hello. I am using the S1000 autopilot with it's S100 wireless controller. The S100 has been acting up lately. When first turned on, the display says it's searching for a network, but the arrows aren't moving, and thats as far as it goes and never connects. This is the case most but not all the time. This is with fresh batteries. Any ideas on what's wrong? I don't need the wireless function, so if I need to replace the controller, can I use a ST6001 or similar unit? If so, how would I hardwire it to the S1000? Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum mdc561,

While the ST6xxx/ST7xxx/ST8xxx may not be used for such purposes as they do not support fishing patterns, our autopilot repair technician indicated that the p70S and p70RS autopilot control heads may be used in conjunction with a S1000.
