[JH11] Es127 not connecting to cp 470
I am following up this from a previous post... have a es127 connected to a new CP 470 and a new M265 chirp.. the mfd was previously connected to a M260. The MFD would not select transducer and message states sounder selected not available. Now the new transducer is connected to cp470 which is connected to es127 via F to F cable. Message says transducer not selected (select transducer) no transducer connected .... no transducers available to select from in drop down. 2 amber blinks on CP... very frustrated with my purchases here

RKW86,

With the 2 Amber blinks the CP470 is indicating that it is not connecting to the Network. There are a couple of things that you can check to help resolve the problem.

1st is the software in your eS127. Please check to make sure you are either at the latest version of Lighthouse 2 (19.03) or lighthouse 3 (3.10.42). The latest software can be found here
latest available Raymarine product software updates

2nd After updating the software or confirming it is at the latest the eS127 has 2 Raynet ports try moving the raynet cable to the second port to eliminate the Raynet the unit is currently connected to.

3rd the next step would be to try another Raynet cable to eliminate this as an issue.

Let me know how this works out for you.

Best Regards
John

Hey John, I am on LH2 version 19.03, I have also tried both of the Raynet ports on the ES127. I will try another cable tomorrow. The ES doesn't seem to see the CP or recognize it being plugged into the unit. I hope its something simple, its wahoo season.

RKW86,

Let us know if the cable fixes the issue.

RE: [JH11] Es127 not connecting to cp 470
The answer to that would be no, Nor did the brand new battery. I went to see a certified repair/installer yesterday and Pete was very helpful though we didn't find the specific problem. He let me borrow a transducer to see if I get the same message. He stated there is likely an issue with the CP470 (which was working prior to now) Though that doesn't answer the question as to why the ES127 quit seeing the M260 I had installed prior to all these other issues. I got the message Transducer selection not available then, and that was without the CP470. The M260 was connected directly to the ES127 with the conversion cable and worked for some time. Then I got the transducer msg.. I was told it was likely a bad transducer, hence the new M265 which was connected to the CP470 and still nothing. I find it hard to believe that the M260 and CP470 both quit functioning simultaneously.

RKW86,

This still sounds to us that you are having a communication issue between the CP470 and your eS127. A couple of other questions.

Do you have any other Raynet Devices on board? Like a Radar or Sirius Weather?

With the whole of the system powered on are you able to see the CP470 in you diagnostics?

Best Regards
John

There are no other Raynet devices on the boat. Very simple setup. ES/CP470/Transducer (M265)
And no, When the es is connected to the CP470 is doesn't see it under diagnostics. Pete at Seacoast Marine did connect a ES98 to the ES127 yesterday and it saw that device.

RE: [JH11] Es127 not connecting to cp 470
RKW86,

Thank you for the information. As Pete said the issue is inside the CP470 then in this case. I am sorry about the previous issues you had with the M260 connected directly to your system that was a different failure that is not related to your CP470 working.

You will need to send your CP470 in to the Raymarine Product Repair Center to be bench checked / serviced.

Best Regards
John
