[CA11] ST7000 power usage
I realize that autopilot power usage depends heavily on sea state, rig balance, etc, but there must be some starting place for figuring likely power draw of an ST7000 for my power budget. I have a 45' ketch at about 16 tons if that helps.

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum rieraney,

Unfortunately, there is no standard answer to provide with regard to power consumption of an autopilot. It is as suggested based upon a number of factors, some of which you have identified, the drive which has been installed, and autopilot performance settings. You may want to consider using the Typical Power Consumption ranges specified within Section 1.2 Drive Systems of the ST7000 Installation Guidefor the drive unit types listed.
