Compatibility between DSM300 and new MFDs
Hello,

We have a costumer with a DSM 300 Sonar module, is it compatible with the new MFDs? Can I connect it to a Seatalk HS network and operate it from de FishFinder application of the MFD?

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Martin

RE: Compatibility between DSM300 and new MFDs
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Martin,

The DSM30/300 sounder modules are indeed compatible with the a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs. If an a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD will be replacing one of the following MFDs, then the currently installed SeaTalkHS cable may be adapted with an A80160 SeaTalkHS (F) to RayNet (F) Adapter:
- E-Series Classic MFD
- C-Series Widescreen MFD
- E-Series Widescreen MFD

Otherwise the DSM may be interfaced to an a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD via an assembly constructed from an A80272 SeaTalkHS (M) to RayNet (M) Adapter and an appropriate length of RayNet (F) to RayNet (F) Cable.

RE: Compatibility between DSM300 and new MFDs
Martin,

If connecting the transducer directly to the MFD's transducer socket, then the transducer would be unplugged from the DSM300. The transducer's plug would then be connected to an E66066 Transducer Adapter Cable. The other end of the Transducer Adapter Cable will be plugged into the MFD's transducer socket.
