[TG11] Reading the bottom
hi everyone. Have purchased Dragonfly Pro 7. Trying to interpret the bottom in sonar mode. Am I correct that if in standard color plate that red is hard bottom and that the thinner the red line the harder the bottom is and if its thicker red then it is somewhat softer as the sonar penetrates further. I believe that if there are lighter color bands on top of red that means mud or weed ?
Thanks |

RE: [TG11] Reading the bottom
Hello PGeds1,
Yes, it sounds like you have a good idea of what's going on already, you are quite correct. If you'd like to post some screenshots back here that you're unsure about, we can perhaps offer more specific advice. Regards, Tom Raymarine since 1999. Interests: Diagnosis of problems in sonar/fishfinders, NMEA2000, ethernet comms, autopilots, thermal cameras Location: Sydney, Australia. Please don't PM me asking for direct support, please ask a public question instead so that others can see the question and answer. Forum posts will always be answered before PM requests. |
