[CA11] Transducer question
Im about to purchase an Axiom Pro 12 networked to an Axiom 7 display, CP470 module, RV-200 ducer, and B175L ducer. Will the RV-200 be sufficient enough for the higher frequency chirp needed for say depths shallower than 300' as well as regular conical performance in shallow water looking for bait etc.? I want to avoid having to get two B175s (L&H) and the RV-200. Also, what are the dimensions of the RV-200? Cant find them anywhere and that will also determine placement. Forgot to mention 25' single straight shaft inboard with 24deg dead rise.
Thanks, Ron |

RE: [CA11] Transducer question
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Ron,
Q1. Will the RV-200 be sufficient enough for the higher frequency chirp needed for say depths shallower than 300' as well as regular conical performance in shallow water looking for bait etc.? A1. Indeed the RV-200 should work well in this application. Q2. I want to avoid having to get two B175s (L&H) and the RV-200. A2. It is indeed possible to use a single B175 with the necessary Single Operation Cable (A80328) or pair two B175s together with the Paired CHIRP Transducer Y-Cable (A102146). Q3. Also, what are the dimensions of the RV-200? Cant find them anywhere and that will also determine placement. A4. This information may be found in the RV-200's installation guide . Q4. Forgot to mention 25' single straight shaft inboard with 24deg dead rise. A4. Please note that the RV-200 is designed for boats with flat bottoms. RV-220 RealVision 3D transducers have an internal offset to accommodate hull deadrise angles from 13° to 20°. Raymarine does not have a thru-hull RV transducer which is designed to accommodate hulls with greater deadrise. |
