SPX-5 Wheel with ST4000+ Head

Hello,

I have the ST4000+ control head and an MrkII wheel drive. I have bought a SPX-5 wheel drive and was thinking I could just replace the wheel drive with this new "more robust" wheel drive. Can I not connect the "drive motor" output from my ST4000+ "all in one" unit the same way it was with the MrkII drive? I do not have the remote computer usually used with this wheel drive.
