RE: New System
Thanks Chuck
I think what I will do is run with my old 256 for next year but add 2 RV220's for real vision this year. For the RV220's I have an existing transducer [censored] near the keel which is plugged right now. I could install one RV220 in that [censored] and drill another [censored] on the opposite side for the other RV220. Assuming this will work, how close to the keel can the RV220 be? My boat has a small keel that extends around 6" in the area of where I may mount the RV220's. The Distance from the center of the transducer to the edge of the keel looks to be around 6 - 8". Will this be a problem? I hate to drill more holes in the boat if I don't have to. I am concerned that the Beam might catch the keel Also, Do transducers ever wear out? My B256 is a 1999 model. Just curious. I plan on changing it to a B275 as you recommend in 2019 (Cash Flow Issue). Lastly, did you see my Network layout drawing that I attached to the last post? Am I on the right track? I attached it again in this reply.
