Whilst it is always best to avoid joins in the cable - every join introduces a potential failure point, as long as they are made carefully and correctly, it should not be a problem. Please refer here for more information. Raymarine do not supply such connectors, and would recommend the connection be made below decks or in a protected area. regards |
