RE: c97 transducer connection
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Michael,

Please note that NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 transducers will not support the MFD's fishfinder features. NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 transducers may be interfaced to the a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs to support display numerical data from such transducers. Raymarine a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs cannot calibrate data from third party NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 transducers, and as such will simply repeat the data values received by such transducer. NMEA 0183 transducers may be interfaced to the MFD's Power/NMEA 0183 Cable and will need to additionally be interfaced to a power source. NMEA 2000 transducers and Raymarine a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs may be interfaced as spurs to a powered and properly terminated SeaTalkng backbone to support communications between these devices.
