RE: [CA11] Powering small SeatalkHS network
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum JPA,

Ideally, you want your circuit to be operating at 80 percent of capacity, which is called the safe load. The recommended circuit fuse size would be determined by multiplying the total power draw of the circuit by 1.2. The power draw (watts) for each product as well as the recommended fusing for each product is specified within the respective product's installation guide. As you have suggested each product should be individually fused.

Current draw for each product may be calculated via the formula i = p / v. For the items listed, the current draw for each is

- Axiom 7 DV: 10.02W
- Axiom 9 RV: 11.98W
- HS5: 2.5W
- RMK9: 4W

Total wattage: 28.5W
Total current for 12v system = 28.5W / 12v = 2.3A.
Recommended breaker / fuse 5A / 3A
