Hi Neil,

The most common causes for situations like this are unintentional settings changes, and software/hardware bugs. The easiest solution for this instance is to perform an update on your card, as you mentioned above. If you do not see a change to the performance of the display, I suggest backing up all data(waypoints, routes, tracks, user settings, etc.) and performing a factory reset on the display.
