[CA11] Axium 9 to Seatalk
New install.
Axium 9
EV150
Ray53 VHF

I have the Axium 9 communicating to the radio and autopilot using the NEMA2000 cable that is attached to the Axium power cable. Is this optimal? All is working together and all is updated.

I’m wondering if I need a Axium “Network” to Seatalk NG cable. The back of the Axium 9 has a “network” cable option. If I want to use the network on the Axium 9, what’s the part number?

Whats my best option?

thanks

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum sr330da,

Q. I have the Axium 9 communicating to the radio and autopilot using the NEMA2000 cable that is attached to the Axium power cable. Is this optimal? All is working together and all is updated.
A. This is indeed the correct way to interface the specified Raymarine products.
The Axiom MFDs are exclusively designed to communicate with Evolution autopilot components and the VHF radio via a powered and properly terminated SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone. As the MFD's NMEA 2000 port has been terminated with a DeviceNet Micro-C Male plug, a DeviceNet (F) to SeaTalkng Spur Adapter is used to interface the MFD to one of the backbone's spur sockets.
