[TG11] Linear Drive Type 2 Long vs Short - TBV - 04-15-20 04:12 PM Hi, I am about to replace my Type 2 Linear drive. My yacht, weighs about 16,000kg fully loaded with a long keel and huge rudder. I removed the old unit which was a Type 2 Short and purchased a Type 2 Long to replace it with due to the weight of our yacht and the fact that we sail ocean crossings often. Reading the installation manual Figure 4 Drive Alignment indicates a tiller arm radius of 250mm for the Short and 355mm for the Long. My tiller arm radius is only 255mm but with the weight of the yacht am I still okay to install the Type 2 Long with the 255mm tiller arm radius? Thanks.
