[JB] Perkins M50 Engine Data - Casey.Matthews - 05-18-20 09:54 PM

Hi, I've got an older (not sure of the year) Perkins M50 in my 96 beneteau oceanis. I just purchased and installed an Axiom 9 (which I love!).

Is there a way I can connect the Perkins to the Axiom so I can see temp, rpms, etc?

Hi Casey.Mathews,

Welcome to the Raymarine forum,

In order to get engine data to an Axiom there need to be sensors on the engine that are capable of sending digital NMEA2000 data. The Axiom is capable of displaying the data of each NMEA2000 compatible engine sensor via a data network. You need to find out from a marine engineer if your Perkins motor can have such sensors fitted.

Happy boating and kind regards
Jules
