[CA11] Dragonfly 5 Pro updates - fishmonger3 - 01-29-19 04:51 PM

I've had two third party chartplotters. Both had the ability to do the following 2 items. Any chance of an update including these features for the Dragonfly 5 Pro ? Not sure if this is even possible but thought I;d ask.
1- Create waypoints by entering the coordinates.
2- Be able to read GPS values in any of the 3 formats ... DMS, DMM and DD

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum fishmonger3,

Unfortunately, not future software updates are planned for the Dragonfly product line. That said, at least the first item within you list may be accomplished by simply creating a waypoint within the Chart application and then editing that waypoint's coordinate's. For those seeking to enter large numbers of waypoints into their Dragonfly, a computer based navigational planning application supporting GPX file format would typically be used to accomplish this end. One of the easiest to use such programs is GPS Utility. This program also supports the each of the coordinate formats which you have referenced. The GPX file produced by the navigational planning application may then be copied to a microSD memory card and then imported into the Dragonfly display's memory.
