Weather application not populating - a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs
Weather application not populating - a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs
The following troubleshooting steps should be taken when the Weather application is not populating: 1. Verify that all electronics are powered ON 2. Verify that SiriusXM Satellite Weather Receiver's Status LED is illuminated and green in color - if not, refer to the section of your SiriusXM Satellite Weather Receiver's installation guide addressing the Status LED 3. Verify that the SRA-40/SRA-50 SiriusXM Antenna has an unobstructed view of the skies overhead 4. Verify that the SiriusXM Satellite Weather/Radio Receiver has been updated with the latest software (HOME->SET-UP->MAINTENANCE->DIAGNOSTICS->SELECT DEVICE->SR150/SR100/SR6/SR50; examine SDR/NDR Software Version and Patches data items) 5. Verify that the MFD's Weather Receiver Type (HOME->SET-UP->SYSTEM SETTINGS->EXTERNAL DEVICES->WEATHER SET-UP->RECEIVER TYPE) has been configured to match the model of SiriusXM Satellite Weather/Radio Receiver which has been interfaced to your system 6. Verify that the MFD senses that is has been interfaced to your SiriusXM Satellite Weather/Radio Receiver (HOME->SET-UP->MAINTENANCE->DIAGNOSTICS->SELECT DEVICE) 7. Verify that the connection/signal strength indicator within the Weather application's titlebar is specifying Medium or High signal strength. Low signal strength may indicate poor antenna location of a failure within the antenna, its cable, or the receiver itself. This is usually fault isolated by testing the receiver with a new antenna and cable. 8. Verify that the NOWRAD weather graphics layer (MENU->DISPLAY GRAPHICS->NOWRAD) has been configured to SHOW 9. Verify that the Radio Activation Status data item of the SiriusXM Weather Receiver's diagnostics (HOME->SET-UP->MAINTENANCE->DIAGNOSTICS->SELECT DEVICE->SR150/SR100/SR6/SR50) is reporting 1 0f -1 (1 07 0 for SR100). If not, it would indicate that the subscription has elapsed (contact SiriusXM) and/or that the receiver requires a restoration signal 10. Verify whether the Sirius Satellite Weather/Radio receiver requires a Restoration Signal (see related discussion addressing this subject) RAYFAQ# |
