[CA11] p70R
It looks like Raymarine calls out EV-400(sail) and EV-400(power). What is different in the two packages? Can I use the p70R control head with a sailboat? Are there different ACU-400s or will they all work for both sail and power boats? Are there different EV-1s or will they all work for both sail and power boats?

RE: [CA11] p70R
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum mattersfeld,
Q1. It looks like Raymarine calls out EV-400(sail) and EV-400(power). What is different in the two packages? A1. T70161 EV-400 Sail and T70162 EV-400 Power packages differ only in the type of control head which is packaged with the autopilot package chosen. The p70S autopilot control head is supplied with the Power packages as its rotary control can function like a power steering knob when the autopilot is operating in Auto mode. Q2. Can I use the p70R control head with a sailboat? A2. Yes. Q3. Are there different ACU-400s or will they all work for both sail and power boats? A3. Negative ... see the response to Q1. Q4. Are there different EV-1s or will they all work for both sail and power boats? A3. Negative ... see the response to Q1. |
