[CA11] C80 working perfectly but not displaying Nav aids
Hello,
Yes I have been through the presentation set up like 100 times going through all hte options, but no matter what I do I cannot get the Nav aids to show up on the screen. Since this is a layer option, my question is:
Since all other features and options on the C80 work perfectly including radar, could this be a corrupted Navionics card (2005 date) or could some how only the nav aid display function be damaged on the C80?
I have also tried resetting to factory condition with the same problem - no displayed nav aids.
For reference - all other details on the chart and chart plotter work perfectly
Thanks

Also - if there is some secret handshake button sequence that would reset this so that this error goes away - please share

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Andy,

Should you have performed a factory reset operation to the MFD, and no changes made to the MFDs settings, and should the problem persist, then the symptom may be indicative of a MFD which is running old software (correct by updating the MFD's software with C-Series Classic MFD v5.16 software), a fault with the data stored on the chart card, or possibly a fault with the MFDs memory card reader. The memory card reader's operational state may be verified by commanding the MFD to archive the waypoints store within the MFD's memory card reader to the chart card. Should the MFD report success, then its memory card reader would be deemed operational. However, should the archive operation fail and thus be deem the memory card reader to not be operational, then it would be necessary to replace the MFD as Raymarine can no longer service C-Series Classic MFDs. Should the MFD be operating with the latest software and its memory card reader be deemed operational, then it would be recommended that a replacement Navionics chart card be sought.
