Configuring FLIR branded M/MD Series Camera for use with Raymarine MFDs
Raymarine products featuring Ethernet interfaces have historically featured static IP addressing. A unique static IP addresses is programmed into each product at the factory. The use of static IP addressing is intended to support plug and play installation of Raymarine products featuring an Ethernet interface such as those listed below: - MFDs: a/c/e/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs, GPM400, C/E-Series Widescreen MFDs, E-Series Classic MFDs - Radar: RD418D, RD424D, RD418HD, RD424HD, RA1048D, RA1072D, RA3048HD, RA3072HD, RA1048SHD, RA1072SHD, RA3048SHD, RA3072SHD - Fishfinder Sounder Modules: CP570, CP470, CP370, CP200, CP100, CP300, CP450C, DSM400, DSM300, DSM30 - SiriusXM Satellite Weather/Radio: SR150, SR6, SR100 - Camera: CAM200IP - Thermal Cameras: T200 (all models), T300 (all models), T400 (all models) Unlike Raymarine branded thermal cameras, FLIR branded M-Series or MD-Series Thermal Camera are configured at the factory for dynamic IP addressing. As such: - when using a FLIR branded M-Series Thermal Camera with Raymarine's a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs or E-Series Widescreen MFDs, it is necessary to configure the thermal camera settings (accomplished by interfacing the camera to a PC and then using the camera's Web Configuration tool) with the static IP address 10.21.0.2 and subnet mask 255.0.0.0. - when using a FLIR branded MD-Series Thermal Camera with Raymarine's a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs, it is necessary to configure the thermal camera settings (accomplished by interfacing the camera to a PC and then using the camera's Web Configuration tool) with the static IP address 10.21.0.3 and subnet mask 255.0.0.0. - when using a FLIR branded JCU with Raymarine's a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs or E-Series Widescreen MFDs, it is necessary to configure the JCU settings (accomplished by interfacing the JCU to a POE which is in turn interface to a PC and then using the JCU's Web Configuration tool) with the static IP address 10.21.0.16 and subnet mask 255.0.0.0. Should the system feature more than one JCU, then each JCU must be configured with a unique IP address. Any additional JCUs may be configured with an IP address in the range 10.21.0.17-10.21.15.255 (one would typically start with 10.21.0.17 for the first additional JCU, 10.21.0.18 for the second additional JCU, etc.).
