Adding an Axiom MFD(s) to network of legacy Raymarine MFD(s)

Unfortunately, Raymarine MFDs designed introduced prior to Raymarine's eS/gS-Series MFDs may not be interfaced to an Ethernet (SeaTalkhs/RayNet) network which also features an Axiom MFD(s). While it is possible to interface the Axiom MFD(s) to a common SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone to which a retired Raymarine MFD has also been interfaced (may require a SeaTalk to SeaTalkng Converter(s)), communications between the Axiom MFDs and the retired MFDs would be limited to alphanumeric, GPS, instrument, navigational, and system status data between these systems. Correspondingly, it is not possible for the retired MFDs to share graphical data such as cartography, radar, fishfinder, Sirius Marine Weather, etc. with an Axiom MFD.

Should full functionality dual station or multi-station capability be desired, then it would be necessary to replace the retired MFD(s) with eS/gS-Series MFDs (following the release of LightHouse 3 software for eS/gS-Series MFDs) or an additional Axiom MFD(s). Any combination Axiom and eS/gS-Series MFDs (following the release of LightHouse 3 software for eS/gS-Series MFDs) may be installed within a network of Axiom MFDs and eS/gS-Series MFDs.

Note: All MFDs within a system must be maintained with the same software level. The highest level of LightHouse 3 software which may be installed within an eS/gS-Series MFD will be v3.11.42.
