Axiom RV transducer installation
Hello,

I am in the process of installing my new Axiom 9 with the RV-100 transducer. I plan to include my existing B60 transducer by means of an A80491 Y cable. I have ordered the Y cable through West Marine. In the meantime, I would like to get as much of the installation completed as possible so I have some questions.

Q1: Can you tell me the length of the A80491 Y cable so that I can route the RV-100 and B60 cables appropriately?

Q2: Is it possible to predict how the outdrive will affect sonar performance?

RE: Axiom RV transducer installation
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum JPA,

Q1: Can you tell me the length of the A80491 Y cable so that I can route the RV-100 and B60 cables appropriately?
A2: The Y-Cable Adapters are approximately 2' long.

Q2: Is it possible to predict how the outdrive will affect sonar performance?
A2: As with the SideVision transom mounted transducer, should a lowered outdrive/outboard lower unit be positioned alongside and extend below the depth the RV-100 transom mounted transducer, then is it quite possible that the sonar image may be partially obscured on the side facing the the outdrive/outboard lower unit.
